The HEACON Research Group (HRG) is a multidisciplinary team of academic professionals specialising in the conservation of historic earthen buildings, monuments, and structures. The Group’s principal focus is on the study of earthen mortars, within the historic built environment, as primary and secondary construction materials.
HRG is committed to the collaborative and holistic development of better practice approaches that promote the adoption of sustainable conservation methodologies. Our aim is to support the conservation of historic earthen architecture through informed and innovative, progressive approaches.
